Saints lost Nick Toon for around 3 weeks. Making the 6'6" 225 pounder 3rd on the depth chart. In the Saints offense the ball gets spread around.

Worth a roster spot?

Over Devante Parker? Who I have available to drop

He'll be the 3rd WR in a great offense, so that gives him some value. He's supposedly been great in practice, but in preseason games he's been pretty non-existant (although he did have a redzone target and almost catch that was knocked out by a CB in the endzone).

Personally, I think he will have a bit more value at the back half of the season, because he's going to need to get his feet wet the first half the season. On the back half, if he's figured things out a bit more, he could be a good redzone option.

I think Coleman is a long shot to be fantasy relevant especially in a standard league. He is definitely a sleeper but with Cooks getting most of the attention and Colston still there it'll be unpredictable when Coleman is to have a break out game. You'd have to guess just right. Like you said, Drew spreads it out but he likes big targets to throw to so I can see Coleman having a good year but as far as fantasy goes, idk if I could trust him just yet. He may be worth a pickup but I would wait and see how he's utilized in the first few games before I start him.

Parker is coming off foot surgery in June and has no time table for returning. The Dolphins have Greg Jennings, Kenny Stills and Jarvis Landry with Tannehill throwing the ball.

If I had to pick, I'd say Coleman has more upside for this year but idk if either will be fantasy relevant just yet.

I'm sure he will have good games, but the third WR there is usually tough to time your starts.

The Saints spread the ball out too much for him to be valuable week to week. He's probably worth a flier but Cooks is the only sure thing at WR fantasy worthy.

I even stated in the Saints thread Coleman will have a better year than Colston.
