Ben Tate value going forward & trade potential

Is Tate risky enough to deal, or the ceiling worth waiting a few weeks to see how he looks.

Offered Keenan Allen. I have rb depth, need a wr.

Does Crowell get snaps ROS even if Tate is healthy...

Yes. I don't think they can trust Tate to last with 20+ carries (or 6 for that matter). Browns will incorporate Crow. He has looked too good to go back to bench. Probably will be GL and spell Tate for several series (if not take the job outright)

Injury is the main concern with Tate and pass protection/trust is the main concern with Crowell.

Healthy Tate is the starter. Clev is averaging 30 rushes a game or so. Tate should get 60-70% of those. Assuming everyone is healthy, I see Tate getting 18-20 rushes, Crowell 7-9 and West 3 or so. If Tate gets hurt again - we know his history - I think it will be more of a 50/50 with Crowell/West, with Crowell having the upside.
