Malik Nabers Injury Update Provided in New NFL Rumors Ahead of Giants Training Camp

Zach BacharJul 23, 2026

New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers' availability for Week 1 of the 2026 NFL season will depend on his progress in training camp, according to ESPN's Jordan Raanan.

"The third-year WR is still rehabbing that right knee he tore in Week 4 last season," Raanan reported Thursday. "The Giants are crossing their fingers he can be ready for their opener this season against the Dallas Cowboys (it's a realistic possibility at this point), but nobody really knows. When and how he returns will be contingent on the progress he makes throughout the summer. As a result, all eyes will be on Nabers, who is expected to avoid the physically unable to perform list. When he runs, how he runs and when he can practice will be deduced based off his every move."

You don’t often hear of a coach being limited at practice.

I have a feeling AJ Brown will be higher after this season, with a better QB and a team that ranks 15th in passing % inside the 10 yard line vs one that ranked dead last.

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (AP) — The son of Chiefs assistant coach Eric Bieniemy has been arrested and charged with the shooting of his mother, Mia Bieniemy, the wife of the Kansas City offensive coordinator, according to authorities in Virginia.

The Loudon County Sheriff's Office said Monday that deputies responded late Sunday to a shooting in Ashburn, Virginia, where they found 57-year-old Mia Bieniemy with multiple gunshot wounds. She was transported to a hospital and was in stable condition Monday.

Elijah Zion Bieniemy, the 27-year-old son of the couple, was arrested in connection with the shooting. He has been charged with malicious wounding, use of a firearm in commission of a felony and discharge of a firearm inside a dwelling, and is being held without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.

Dang man. Prayers to the family. My mom has pissed me off for 56 years, but I've never even thought about shooting her.

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Daniel Jones expects to be a full participant in training camp when it opens Wednesday.

Jones said on The Pat McAfee Show he still has "some work to do" in his recovery from a torn Achilles but doesn't foresee anything keeping him off the field for practices.

Good news for all of the skill players in Indy.

JaVonte Williams’ production trailed off at the end of last season.

The former North Carolina star had 11 rushing touchdowns in 2025, matching his career total entering the year. Williams was outstanding the first half of the season with CeeDee Lamb missing time and playing through a high-ankle sprain injury. He was the RB5 over the first eight weeks, averaging 18.6 fantasy points per game, scoring eight rushing touchdowns. However, Williams’ production slipped significantly once Lamb returned to the lineup at near-100 % health.

After ranking as the RB5 over the first half of the year, the veteran was the RB29 from Week 9 through Week 18, averaging 11.8 fantasy points per game. Furthermore, Williams had only three rushing touchdowns during those eight contests.

Per Colton Pouncy of The Athletic, Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs is absent from Wednesday's training camp practice. Head coach Dan Campbell told reporters that he's not concerned about Gibbs' absence or his ongoing contract discussions with the franchise.

"You guys know how we feel about Gibbs…we'll take this [extension stuff] as it comes. … It'll come as it comes. ... This is both sides working through something… that's where it is," Campbell said.

Here we go. Figured this was coming...

Even though the Arizona Cardinals made Jeremiyah Love the highest-drafted running back since 2018, they don't intend to overwhelm him with touches in his rookie season.

Per Albert Breer of SI.com, the Cardinals' plan for the regular season is to avoid overloading Love by finding the "right rotation" with him, James Conner and Tyler Allgeier.

Arizona used the No. 3 pick in the 2026 draft on Love, making him the first running back selected in the top five since Barkley went No. 2 overall eight years ago
