re: 2024 Votto is a Catcher

Yeah that was a freaking grind. The last few months was a 3 horse race really. Gotta survive the draft, get lucky with injuries, hit on a few waiver gems and stay active when some start checking out.

Think i was able to grab crochet after 1 good start. Rode Trouts hot start and traded right before he went down for JRod, rode hot August from Xavier Edwards, Tyler Fitzgerald, grabbed Victor Robles, etc

Also was able to ride Lawrence Butler through his hot streak.. he started slumping tho and I dropped him. Started heating back up and I think I snagged him on waivers, barely beating your bid. Law-Dog hit 3HRs that night

Was able to overcome basically giving Skenes away after 5 starts (straight up for Evan Phillips.. yikes). Trading Crochet for Hader ended up working out. Still finished 1st in Ks and made up much needed ground in saves.

All in all a hell of a season. Congrats and see yall next Spring.

I remember that now. I upped by bid at the last minute and me and CH tied at $81 and somehow I had the tiebreaker.

Best 8% of my budget ever spent.

That's an incredible tie bid. I forgot about that.

Also, I want to call out the dominance of our top three over the years. I think we were on Yahoo in 2013 and 2012, so I don't have that data.

PSU2LSU has three straight years in the top three, and has seven finishes in the top three. He has four runner-up finishes.

MetryMojo has been dominant since joining in 2018 with no finish worse than fifth and five finishes in the top three in seven years.

Yeah, I am the only three-time winner, but it does help playing every year, which only a few of us have.

I have fallen off incredibly hard the last three years (as you can see by my 13th, 10th, and 10th finishes). I definitely have followed less since baseball since 2022, and I need to pick it up back up more. Just poor management and not following the league enough.
