If I don't move him, I'm hoping that Reyes gets hurt and Hanley has to play at least 10 games at SS this year so he can retain eligibility there for 2013.

I'd doubt they move him back to SS after he learned a new position at 3B. Could be wrong though.

That puts me in the same situation that I am in with port's deal. Overloaded in the OF. I'd have to make a trade first to try to acquire a SS or something else.
The offer I made to Rondo made sense for me to do, because I would have a solid SS (imo) to replace Hanley while still adding a SP that I like going forward.

Yeah I know. Kinda what I was thinking as well.
A-Rod never moved back to SS once moving to 3B.
