I've heard behind closed doors CPM isn't a very nice person. Total opposite of the "grandfather" persona he puts on for the fans/media.
I don't really give a frick if he's nice to the players however. This is LSU, the premier college baseball program the past 20yrs. Should be a lil pressure on the kids.

He is an arrogant a-hole. All I know about last year is that Paul and Javy Sanchez can't teach 18-22 year old grown d1 athletes how to bunt but think its a good idea to play small ball. On a more personal level, I have 1st hand accounts of how Paul handled a recruit who signed a pro contract instead of going to LSU. Paul is an a-hole.

I understand some people get that from him, but he is a good guy all things considered. The way Paul talked to him after he told Paul he was going to sign was shitty.

kids need to be honest with coach up front. "Hey coach. If a pro team offer me over 1 million, i'm signing."

I've heard the same thing about CPM. But then again I've heard some pretty bad stories about Skip as well. In the end we don't hire the coaches for their people skills or their ability to make everyone feel good. Saban probably had the worst people skills of anyone in North America, but he was a good coach. If CPM's issues become a hindrance to his ability to field a competitive team, then the issue is extremely relevant.

aaaaaand there it is. I know someone whose whole family hates les cause Saban promised their kid a scholarship and then Les didn't end up offering him. Someone got burned and now they have a unreasonable level of hate for that person.

No doubt. I don't know 100% of the story. I only get ZVR's side.
