AB's do not matter in this case.
If Mike Napoli, as a Catcher, can hit 26 HRs in 200 less ABs than Abreu, he is more valuable to me because of the raw numbers he produces. Especially given the fact that he is a catcher, and no catcher gets full time ABs all season. So its not like you are missing out on having a C that gets full time ABs
If Abreu is getting more ABs and putting up the same numbers or less, it is just telling me that he is being unproductive in those extra AB's he is getting throughout the week.
you dont get points for at bats. Bottom line.

Who ranked 41st at their position in AB. So the Best catcher with the most AB's has the same amount as the 41st OF in MLB.
So a players position has a direct correlation between the number of ABs they get? Cool.
I always though their place in the order and the amount of time the order flipped was a better indication of the amount of ABs they would get.
In pop up book terms, this would mean a 3B like Ryan Zimmerman would get more ABs over the course of the season than a 3B like Blake since Zimmerman bats higher in the order. Or a guy like Michael Bourn would bat more that a guy like Gomes EVEN IF THEY PLAYED THE SAME AMOUNT OF GAMES!!!!!!!!
In really basic terms: Blake and Gomes bat in the bottom half of the order, hence their lower ABs.
good comparison, though

plus you'll get additional stats from whoever fills in your C slot when Napoli sits.

Dude, my point with ABs is that the difference in Sotos OPS and Bucks OPS is minimal because it won't affect your weekly OPS number much, if at all.
That's it. Nothing more nothing less.

TBM are trying to help you avoid making a mistake. It's what good managers do - help their competition avoid mistakes.

My argument has NOTHING to do with Abreu. It's about not keeping someone like Soto when you can get someone similar in the 8th round.

I would quit the league if I was keeping abreu
