bullshite.

I can only think of four catchers that I would keep. Iannetta ain't one of them.

Ianetta has good power, always a good OPS guys.

And there are 7 legit keepable catchers. 8 if you count Weiters, 9 if a guy like Ianetta gets a full time gig, which at this point, he does.

Man, the talent pool in the draft this year doesn't appear to be as good as it was last year.

Several teams aren't keeping any prospects and are keeping pretty much the best 12 available.

Meh. Most catchers only play 75% of the time anyway. I'm not wasting a keeper on someone that IF HEALTHY, takes every 3 or 4 games off.

you'd keep Abreu over Soto, Napoli, or Santana?

I'd keep him over Soto and Napoli, sure.

I'd consider Santana, but I fear he may be injury prone.

I was actually just stirring the pot.

I would keep Napoli too in your position.

I do however think Martinez will be better this year since he is moving primarily to DH

Random side note, my favorite part about being a dad and having a boy is being able to use the word Son all the time.

Everyone is injury prone when they get run over like he did. I think it's a slight miracle that he'll be ready for Spring Training.

Napoli has similar stats to your boy Scott AND is multi position eligible at a thinner position

to each his own, but thats crazy considering Abreu is 37 and had his worst year statistically in his career last year.

And all of those catchers will likely put up similar or better numbers are a much rarer position

I could be wrong but I am pretty sure TBM have argued with me a lot telling me that position eligibility doesnt matter.

I didn't say I would keep Scott over Napoli.

He asked me if I would keep Abreu over Napoli.
