what is the asking price?
Posted on 2/23/11 at 2:33 pm to Rouge
I want to package him with a SP like Romero or Cueto for a player and a pick.

Geaux I will send you Garza for super cheap to replace Wainwright. Sorry for your loss.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that Phillies 2B Chase Utley is a little sore after initial workouts and will not play Thursday against Florida State. He could also miss this weekend's Grapefruit League games against the Yankees.

Rouge is gonna sit on Waino for a year and a half!
Posted on 2/24/11 at 11:12 am to rondo
His offer... And IMO the best I was going to get..
Waino is turning 30 in a few months so 31 when he gets back and who knows with what team...I couldn't afford to sit on him

good job, cant believe anyone is going to keep wainwright.

It's a gamble for sure, but with the TJ recoveries these days, it could be an extremely cheap way to acquire a top 10 pitcher. Hell, I consider all pitchers crap-shoots.

not really cheap way when you have to keep him when you trade for him. and esp considering how deep this league is, every keeper is important.
Posted on 2/24/11 at 11:49 am to Lester Earl
rouge could have keep Jaime and the pick and drafted Waino in the draft.
JewT wasnt keeping him.

if I were to keep him I would then have only 11 healthy keepers and limited picks..had to do something

If there's a position where you can gamble it pitcher. There's always 10 - 15 pitchers that produce great returns, considering their draft position. Besides, Rouge already has fairly deep pitching options. He's tossing Cahill back in as it is.
