Jesus Christ. You just used the same argument about shortstops that I used a couple of weeks ago about catchers.
So which is it?
You don't even know what you argued.
keeping something you already have /=/ trading for something
If you think that is "circular logic" then you are a lot more simple minded than you think. Ian you have said that prob 5 times, and none of them have made any sense.
Redd, your original argument was there were only 4 keepable catchers.
I think you said you'd keep Abreu over someone like Soto or Napoli (lol now u dont want Abreu, but thats for another day)
If i had Ramirez on my team, I'd consider keeping him.
I certainly wouldn't give up a top 3 hitter along with a 3rd round pick to add him to my team. Even if it were part of a package.
Even so, like I said, that is prob #3 on my the list of blunders in this deal.
If you think that is the same thing in relation to our original debate, I don't know what to say.

You used 'circular logic' and 'ganders' in a thread about fantasy baseball.

I'm done. You are literally too stubborn to have a normal conversation with. GLTY.

Man, the season can't get here soon enough.

those scenarios are different though, right?
how is that being stubborn?
It's pretty plain to see
and fwiw, catcher is pretty deep comparable to most years. SS is not deep at all. But the caliber of player you'll find after the top 3-5, say from 6-12, are all pretty similar. And half of those guys, maybe more, will be available in draft.
after the top 8-10 catchers(11 are being kept), there is a big fall off. 2 totally different positions.
That isnt even getting into the fact that keeping a marginal player is different than giving up value to add one.
if you dont want to discuss it, fine. Just say so. Just dont say its because I am stubborn when you are the one that cant understand that easy logic.

I'd rather have Miggy, 12th keeper and draft JJ Hardy in the 3rd over Crawford and Alexie and the 1st
never trade POP for speed in a OPS league

Rondo's team is pretty loaded up and he has Big Kendry, so it't not like it was a horrible trade.
I don't like Alexi though.

Not horrible at all…if he his a HR with that 1st rd pick then it'll be a very good move for him.
LE's line of reasoning on this is spot on, IMO

You just keep on writing those long drawn out posts, and I'll keep not reading them.

im not saying its horrible. He could have done better.
adding a speed guy to a team that will prob win SB's most week just doesnt make sense. the pick swap was the worse part in my eyes, considering he had the leverage
I dont really give a shite about Ramirez, he isnt anything special to me. Reddman just acted like he needed to fill that SS spot, so that was his motive for the trade, which is just stupid.
Posted on 2/9/11 at 9:25 pm to Lester Earl
I was going to give him Morneau and Pedro for Miggy
Posted on 2/9/11 at 9:29 pm to PortCityTiger24
yeah, what can we do. Need to stop talking about it before redd and ian get madder

I would never trade miggy for Crawford. The rest of the trade is irrelevant. Congrats pey.

I'm keeping Chris Carter (OF) over Jose Lopez, FYI.
