You seem like it..

You've said your part...you think I mde a bad move.

I can see your perspective. TBH I am not thrilled with having given away a top 3 player. I said immediately after doing it I had traders remorse...wtf move on.

then so is Yunesky Betancourt, alex gonzalez, Tejada, and Peralata

Not according to every projection I've looked at so far this offseason. And trust me, it's a lot. Almost every projection has him slotted as the 7th best SS. In fact, after putting in projections from six sites that include all of our categories, Alexei's overall rating is 155. That's keeper worthy, considering we are keeping 192.

None of those other guys are even remotely close to that.

shite at least desmond has a little upside and steals a few bags

1. Rondo doesn't need steals. That's obvious.
2. Desmond will never sniff 18 homers a year, which is what Alexei averages over the past 3 seasons. And he's still only 29. I even said that Alexei can be shady, but hes not the sack of shite that you make him out to be.

dude, not everything is about projections. To say none of those guys come close to Ramirez in projections is a joke, considering this is how they hit last year:

Betancourt- 16 HR 78 RBI 692 OPS 60 runs
Peralta- 15 HR 81 RBI 703 OPS 60 runs
Gonzalez- 23 HR 88 RBI 740 OPS 74 runs
Tejada 15 HR 71 RBI 692 OPS 71 runs

Ramirez- 18 HR 70 RBI 740 OPS 83 runs

You telling me there is a big gap there? Certainly not one worth trading for.

not to mention guys like JJ Hardy, Clint Barmes, and Yunel Escobar in the draft.

I think you probably put words in Ian's mouth anyway. I doubt his main M.O. was to fill that need.

I never made him out to be a sack of shite. You people are weird.

Like I said i think you put words in his mouth. I dont think Ramirez was a big part of the trade for him anyway. You made it seem like it was his main priority. Thats the only reason i commented.

in that sense, its stupid to trade to fill a need when you can get a similar player in the draft.

he could hit 15, steal 20 bags, score the same amount of runs, and have a better OPS.

Would sniffing be considered what, 15 HR?

And he is only 25!

And he steals bases!

And he's 6'2" 210!

Like I said...before I had a positional gap and no 1st round pick

I felt I would go into draft and have to reach for a shitty SS at th 38th overall pick.

IDGAF if you think it was a bad move.

Jesus Christ. You just used the same argument about shortstops that I used a couple of weeks ago about catchers.

So which is it?

Nevermind, don't answer that. I'm moving on. This shite wasn't even my trade!
