When do Dems move to shut down all alternative media sources?

Listening to Morning Joe, CNN, and Madcow blame “alternative news which isn’t news” leads me to believe they will attempt to destroy these resources before the next election cycle.
It’s the “guns kill people” approach.
When do the arbiters of truth start pushing legislation to destroy social media, podcasts, message boards, etc? Right now they just complain, but will they start attempting a meaningful dismantling of every media source which is not under elite control?

Probably have to wait to see if they get control in 4 years. No way Trump let's them dismantle what definitely helped put him over the top.

Technological innovations have circumvented their ability to shut anything down. It's not like people can only watch 3 channels on their TVs anymore. People have embraced their choice of podcasts or other source of information. The msm has dug their own grave with censorship. People aren't as stupid as they think they are.

that's ironic, because Comcast is looking to spinoff MSDNC as a streaming only service. So, i guess they fall into the category that needs to be shut down
