I hadn't read it since about 1989. What a great book; maybe the best book of its genre ever written IMO

Just about to re-read The Red Dragon.

Fwiw, I read Thomas Harris's latest book, Cari Mora, last year. Didn't care for it. At his age (81), I'm surprised he wrote another book.

I read it before Red Dragon. Both are great but Red Dragon was my favorite of the two.

Fantastic Book

And iirc, the movie did a pretty decent job of staying true to the book.

Just don't read "Hannibal." It was terrible, its a lesson in what happens when forcing things.

Red Dragon is an amazing book and movie. Ralph Fiennes freaking kills it.

I bought the hardcover as soon as it came out and can't remember anything at all about the book...other than not liking it.

I'm about 200 pages into a re-read of Red Dragon and I think you might be right. What a great book!

Martin Amis’s review of Hannibal is one of the best, most savage critiques Ever written

I wished he had gone back to Will Graham after Silence of the Lambs.

I read Red dragon as a freshman or sophomore in college when I would still move back home during the summer. That book had me nervous to walk the trash down to the road (maybe 200 ft) in the dark as I was reading it.
