I hate all the pine straw they drop, but having the limbs fall from this ice have made me consider getting them cut. What is the typical cost of getting the bastards cut down?

How big are they?

Are they out in the open or near structures?

Mature trees. Maybe three next to house but rest are decently far away.

Depends on if a crane is required...

Price will be cheaper if they can be dropped.

Does everyone else in your hood have pine trees that wants to get them cut? It will be exponentially cheaper if you can get some others onboard and the tree cutters can make a few days out of it.

I had 3 pine trees dropped and hauled away for $900.

In 1993.

It’ll be more now.

I'm in Houston and we had two pine trees removed and stump grinded about a month ago. They were right next to the house and in a neighborhood. Probably 60 year old trees so very good size. We used a fully insured company and it was $2,002.63 (including tax). They had both trees cut down to the stump and hauled away in about 4 hours. Came back about a week later after sap and moisture dried up a bit and stump grinded.

We also got some pricing from them to trim and remove dead limbs from our other pines and it came out to around $150/tree for the trimming.

I have ten I'd like to get rid of. And I've lost at least a dozen to pine bark beetles. So I pretty much hate pine trees now. Mine look like bushy topped 100' blades of grass.

Depends on the total job but $700 per tree is kind of a ballpark estimate
