Anyone have a clue what programs he is looking at?

I’m not sure, but we were one of his official visits. Has to mean we were on the short list, initially. His final two were Tennessee and Auburn.

I would be OK with that but I would want us to also be given a 5 star to be named later.

I'd take him in a heartbeat..
Just don't think it will be lsu
Supposedly he has a handler and his hand is out again

Tennessee O-lineman Wanya Morris enters NCAA transfer portal
quote:
The 6-foot-5, 320-pound Morris, who's from Savannah, Ga., and starred at Grayson High School in Loganville, was rated a five-star prospect and ranked the No. 28 overall player, No. 6 offensive tackle and No. 5 player in Georgia by the industry-generated 247Sports Composite when back in May 2019 he chose Tennessee over Auburn and scholarship offers from most of the SEC plus Clemson, Florida State, Oklahoma and others.
The past year didn't bring Morris the same kind of success, though. He underwent hip surgery to address a lingering injury and was slated to miss the spring practice Tennessee wound up not really having. (The Vols got two practices in before the Covid-19 pandemic shuttered sports in America for months.) When Tennessee reconvened and starting preparing for the 2020 season, Morris was caught up contact-tracing quarantines in multiple occasions, stunting his development and readiness for his sophomore season.
At one point during the preseason, Morris, who was a Preseason All-SEC second-team selection, missed 14 days of practice while in quarantine, practiced once or twice once he was cleared and then right back into quarantine, missing an additional two weeks of preparation.
Nevertheless, Morris played both left and right tackle in the season-opening win against South Carolina and re-assumed his starting spot at left tackle the following week against Missouri. He then started three games in a row before an ankle injury suffered against Kentucky sidelined him for the loss to Alabama. He returned to the starting lineup against Arkansas and played 71 snaps with no sacks allowed and no penalties committed and helped the Vols rush for 222 yards in the loss at Auburn two weeks later.
However, Morris lost his starting spot to Jahmir Johnson for the season's final three games, though he did earn starts against Florida and Texas A&M lined up at tight end and wearing a No. 23 jersey in Tennessee's run-heavy jumbo package.
Despite his bouts of inconsistency losing his starting job this past season, Morris is a player Tennessee wouldn't want to lose thanks to his natural talent and potential, but his step into the transfer portal suggests the big offensive tackle intends to continue his career elsewhere.

People think he’s going to OU to protect Rattler’s blindside.

I keep hearing rumblings of Tennessee and Georgia being in deep trouble with the NCAA. The rumor is they got into a bidding war over a recruit and it got out of hand. We may see a lot more players from those schools in the portal. Lots of smoke. It could be a very large fire.

Simple Truth: with Deculus coming back, Dumervil waiting for the torch, Wire having now shown his ability (and versatility), and Dellinger in the pipeline Morris would be a longshot, a very long shot, for being even a penciled in starter with his inconsistency.
Therefore, let's call it a "bad fit" for Morris at LSU.
At best, IF Wire or Deculus were being looked at for C, he would be starting out on our roster as depth. He's not looking for that.

Sort of fits, OLB's are key to both Kirby and Pruitt's style defenses.
ETA: If I were to fathom a guess myself... Mims (OT). He definitely had his hand out.

yeah, UGA and Tenn cheating their balls of on the recruiting trail has been the worst kept secret around the SEC since Freeze/Ole Miss.
was just a matter of time until they pissed off the wrong people and/or got sloppy.

I think we were a finalist 2 years ago for Morris only to lose out to UT

Watched him at Grayson HS. Has all the ability in the world. Not sure if he wasn’t being coached up or it’s a “him” thing @ UT. Would be a take, no doubt. Perfect timing to go after him with Auburn in a coaching transition and the depth at UGA. As with all recruits, distance may be a factor.
