Are there any useful options for an old iPad.

This version is no longer supported so virtually none of the apps work anymore.
I tried downloading Kodi to it but couldn't find a VPN that would work. Does anyone know of anything this could be used for besides a paper weight.

I have an older one that I essentially use as a clock/ timer.

You don't need a client side VPN for Kodi, just use real debrid.

If you have homeassistant you could use it as a 'Smart controller'. If you use plex you could use it as a media controller with the plex app. I have a old ipad mini that's only real purpose is to stream music to a bluetooth speaker in the kitchen.
