I know you’re trying to be funny but if you watched his interview with Ernie Johnson a couple weeks back you’ll see that he’s in great shape and has been working out every day. He takes his craft very seriously.

Meh.

He also said he just wants to win and barely hustled up the court and played defense.

We shall see

I’m actually discussing that very thing on Twitter. I think it was uncertainty with assignments. The person I’m speaking with on it thinks/hopes that it was the coaches telling him to take it easy on the side of the ball coming off injury.

Either way I think it’s too early to be concerned so we’ll see.

Bad take. You do realize he had a lot of restrictions in terms of minutes and how he went about things because the coaches and staff told him to do so? He’s reconfiguring his body, jump, everything. Defense will come in time, it’s hard to cover an entire floor for 30-35 minutes as a rookie. I expect his true peak form to come around his third year, developing a good 3 and he’s probably gonna be closer to the 265-270 range. I’m very satisfied with Zion, don’t be ignorant when you know it was the 1. Right pick for the team and, 2. The Best Pick in a stacked draft.
