FYI - Boubon is Kentucky
FYI: Bourbon does not have to be made in Kentucky. But it does have to be made in the US.

it's a snob thing, just like "Champagne" can only come from the Champagne region of France, everything else is just sparkling
It’s nothing like that. Champagne does have to come from Champagne.
Bourbon can come from anywhere.

Blantons is great bourbon
It’s good. It probably the most overrated bourbon in today’s market.
Don’t get me wrong, I have a couple bottles and I like it. But I’m never buying another at the current prices. Better ones for less and much better ones for the same or just a little higher cost.

FYI - Boubon is Kentucky made whiskey made with at least 51% corn. Crown Royal is a blended Canadian whiskey made with rye, barley , and corn.
Why are you clueless bastards upvoting this incorrect information?

Not exactly true. It has to be distilled in the US along with several other criteria. If you replicated the Jim Beam distillery in Canada the product could not be called bourbon.
Bourbon was recognized in 1964 by the United States Congress as a "distinctive product of the United States".

Crown Royal is not bourbon, so it doesn't even rank in the bourbon universe.

It's not bourbon, for starters.
And pretty low.

Crown Royal is whiskey for people who don't like whiskey.

Apparently it makes a lovely gift for your mom, what with the purple velvet bag and all.
