Gyms lack neck machines as we all know. Im looking for a few ideas on building your neck. I saw a few on youtube involving laying on a bench and using a plate. Ive also invested on the thing that sits on your head with the chain. As I get older, my neck is sagging and developing lines. Please help

a strong neck is good for protecting yourself from trauma, i personally dont do it anymore though because there are lots of downsides too, including sleep ap. honestly unless you are a combat or contact sport athlete, i wouldnt recommend this.

i know johnny pain does in greyskull but for average office guy....too many downsides to recommend it.

Depends on your physique too. I’ve seen people on juice who get wide shoulders but look like they have a pencil neck. Sadik Hadzovik comes to mind

Always thought he needed to work on his traps and neck.

ETA: there’s actually an ideal measurement based on head circumference, wrist, or height. I think the Grecian ideal is for your neck, arms, and calves to be the same size

Look up what the F1 guys are doing. They focus on the neck a lot.

For example

The movements I like best have come from doing yoga. I have found a lot of ways to work the neck from a headstand position. I'm comfortable there, but you can also do a lot from a bridge or downward dog position. If you do it enough, you can get a good feel for the angles and you can build up really good strength because your own body weight provides plenty of resistance.
Static stretching is also helpful.
