I had COVID in Nov '20 and still do not have my sense of taste and smell back fully. It's like at 10%. Anyways, I made some jambalaya and because I cannot tell how hot the base was, I was a little cautious on the amount of cayenne that I added. Now that it is done, I think it is not hot enough. Is there anything I can do at this point to make it spicier? I mean, aside from throwing it in the trash

Diced peppers. Start with some jalapenos and then maybe some habenero

This in a nutshell. Either cayenne pepper or some good hot sauces.

When I make jambalaya I have to make it fairly mild due to others eating it, but I like it a lot spicier. My remedy is to toss in some of my homemade habanero hot sauce to kick it up several notches. That way, I'm happy and my friends less tolerable to heat are happy.
