Were the Saints good enough to go 8-4 without Brees the last three years.

After that he starts the last four games and playoffs the last three years. Do the Saints win one more SuperBowl?

Were they good enough when Marcus Williams took a dive in Minnesota? What about when the most egregious PI penalty ever observed wasn’t called? How about when the TE pushes off in the end zone for a game winning TD?

I ain't worried about the offense as much as I'm worried about the defense falling off the cliff. Brees hasn't been good in 2.5 years. He has been terrible ever since that 2018 Thanksgiving game against Atlanta. We've won games despite him. Jameis or Taysom I feel we can make plays on offense. But if our defense becomes a problem we gonna suck.

Actually the saints went 8-1 without Drew Brees the last two seasons, man this board I swear.

I think the offense and defense take a big step backwards this year, which is why I don't understand why we're kicking the can down the road with some of these restructures. We're gonna be bad for the next few years, so go ahead and get the dead money over with.

We only have one starting caliber RB and WR, a huge question mark at QB, an unproven starting TE coming off an okay rookie season. If we didn't have an elite offensive line, we would have a bottom five offense next year.

One defense we have one starting caliber CB and LB, the rest are rookies or backups. We lost our sack leader, drafted a rookie to replace him. I think Onyemata is our only starting caliber DT, Shy Tuttle is a decent backup. We're good at safety with Williams and CGJ.

We've lost ALOT of talent and depth. We are still cap strapped. Not alot of ways to get better. Unless CSP can fix Jameis, it's gonna be a few rough years ahead. Which is fine, I never expected to continue winning after Drew retired.

The broadcaster jinx in that Atlanta game was incredible. He hurt his shoulder 5 seconds later and never truly was the same.
