I have lespezeda on order, have enough atriazine+weed free zone to apply now. grass is centipede, live in LA. should i just wait for the lespezeda, apply it later, or what?

a few other weeds, but the lespezeda is out of control

I haven't had good luck with Celsius and lespedeza. I think MSM does a much better job.

A guy on the youtube says Change Up is best on it in centipede.

Lespedeza is the worst thing i deal with in my centipede. It chokes out whole lawns in my neighborhood by late summer early fall. I'm just spot spraying it very selectively with 2-4D and taking the damage to the centipede. It's been cool so far this spring.

I just did last week and no issues or yellowing yet. Look up the thread that Ronk and Craw talked about the application rate. It was required reading before you use it.

Lespedeza is one of the weeds that I will mix Celsius and MSM. I try one and then the other a couple weeks later. If that doesn't work I'll hit them with the combo a couple weeks later.

Ronk do you use Changeup? It seems to get a lot of buzz with centipede lawns.

Though not a big problem for me, I have had good control of Lespedeza, as well as my neighbors, with MSM Turf. Also had good control with Celsius. Seems like I use Celsius more frequently b/c I usually spot patches of lespedeza when spraying doveweed.

I think it’s a little warm now to be using atrazine+weed-free-zone.

I don’t use it. I looked at the label and it has the active broadleaf weed killer from Celsius, one of the active ingredients from trimec, and fluroxypyr. I am not too familiar with fluroxypyr so I looked into that chemical. It is a growth regulator and is not suggested for use on legume crops. Lespedeza is a legume. It makes since that it works on it.
