LSU would own the record from one of several games in 1970. Just take my word for it.
Pete scored 69 (fight game) and 55 (home) against Bama in the same season... I was there for the game at Parker.
I bet he would have had about 16 3’s himself that 69 point game. We lost by 2. Technical fouls killed us.
The game at Parker was spectacular as well. No doubt in my mind we own that record because of how the game would have been played ans the fact that Pete would have lit their asses up.
There was no defense that could stop him.
