And a legit talent in Ingram who has proven he can score a lot of points on bad teams. The Pelicans didn't "win" the AD trade. You never win a trade like that. They, like the Rockets and Harden, did as well as they could under the circumstances.

Sounds like a win to me

Oladipo will probably quit the Rockets and The Rockets willn't have high draft picks.
If the Nets win a championship, i don't see how the Rockets win this trade, except if they draft well...

Just hope that nba karma strikes these a-hole players that keep manipulating the league

you never win when you give up a super duper star
but we got probably the best haul ever for one
just look at how our AD trade has completely changed how teams deal stars. we were the trendsetters

You make a superstar trade to get bad enough to draft a Brandon Ingram. After the CP3 but before winning the AD lottery we were trying to convince ourselves we could build something around Eric Gordon and picking Thomas Robinson at 4. After the AD trade the Pels had Ingram and Zion, plus all of the other stuff.
Lakers got a ring and the Pels got the best superstar foundation the NBA has ever seen. That was unquestionably a win win trade. Anyone that thinks otherwise has an agenda.

You left out NAW and Jaxson. If they continue to develop, and if they and/or the future picks and swaps ultimately net us the 3rd star we need to win a title, then we will unquestionably have won the trade, because there was no way that we were getting close to a title without it.
With the Lakers, it's easy to say that they won the trade because they won the title last year, but I'm not so sure. The difference is that they would almost certainly have AD this year anyway, because he would have left us in free agency to join LeBron, and they would definitely be favored to win a title this year, as they would still have Ingram and lots of other talent (including whoever they would've picked at #4 last year) and would be on the verge of a long-term dynasty. As it is now, their window will likely close in two years.
