Sightmark Wraith vs ATN

Who's got what and how do you like them? I can't justify the cost of thermal so I'm considering one of these. Thx.

I have hunted both the sightmark photon and the ATN. I sold the ATN on eBay. It was trying to do too much, the sight mark was simple to operate in the dark, held a reliable zero, worked much better with my illuminator and was a smaller package to deal with on an AR platform.

Does yours record audio? Is it 4k?

ATN's do a lot for the money, but seem kind of gimicky. I never used one, only sold them, but ATN was my best selling brand.

I’d recommend Sightmark as ATN has subpar customer service. The original Wraith HD is a very nice digital day/night vision scope. Prices range from $375 (Academy Black Friday sale) to $499 which is retail. Only negative would be no audio recording. The new Wraith 4K ($799) is the real deal and has audio recording with amazing imaging and built-in battery recharging. The HD requires 4 AA batteries or an external battery pack that plugs into a micro USB port. Due to the extremely high demand and COVID effecting parts and manufacturing, the Wraith 4K is back-ordered at most places and dealers are only receiving limited shipments. Many 4K buyers are on a waiting list. Lots of great information and reviews on YouTube.

Wraith owner as well. Downside is the battery life without an external pack. Also base magnification is a tad high at 4x. I believe the new 4K model has internal rechargeable battery and a lower base mag. That said it can see to shoot very clearly out to 150 yds with the stock IR light. Slap a coyote cannon and you can push those scopes out further than most should be shooting
