Will my 401k still be there 10 years from now when I hope to retire? I don’t have million dollars in it but it’s decent.

As long as you don’t spend it

So the new anointed emperor or his female underling won’t be coming for it? Or once they have finished demolishing the economy, it just won’t be there?

Your 401k is in the stock market presumably. Stock markets typically do better under democratic presidents.
If you are this concerned then it is probably best for you to pull it out, pay the taxes/penalties and bury it in your back yard. You won’t earn much, but your peace of mind may be worth more than potential gains you may miss out on.

In Cypress
quote:
the 2012 financial crisis led the Cypriot government to confiscate its citizens’ savings, obviously without asking first. Everyone with a bank account containing over €100,000 had to contribute 9.9% to the empty coffers of the State, and those with less paid 6.75%
When the government cannot afford the payment on their loan, they steal money out of bank accounts and raise taxes. It is inevitable that it happens here. Our debt is going up so fast that one day we won't be able to afford even the interest payment on our loan.

Nope Biden and Harris will make laws allowing the government to take it and give it to the less fortunate.
