I eat there about once a year when family comes in. There are always a few regulars at the bar who will spin around surprised by a new face. We were the only table in the dining room last year
I think parkway and Bevi to a certain extent has captured that younger customer base in that segment

MidCity has must become a really young neighborhood what a competitive food scene. With Parkway and Bevi and Katie’s nearby it’s probably pretty hard on them.

I took in laws there one night because Venezia had a wait. They wanted some pasta & such
So we went to Liuzzas & they all got veal & meatball dishes etc. The red gravy was just absolutely disgusting. When they came to pick up the plates, which no one ate, they asked why & I told them. As we walked out, the owner grabbed me & apologized, admitted they had added water to the gravy to stretch it out because they were running low. Lol. She offered to make it right, & while I admire her candor, I think they’ve prob lazily skated by because of the following, & it has eventually caught up to them.
