Because humor relies in large part in pointing out the absurdity of something. Their positions are absurd, so they despise humor.

Brevity is the soul of wit, they dont live in reality so they have to either spend an inordinate amount of time constructing an alternate reality or make a joke that doesnt have any rational basis, neither of which is funny.
