I'm not having much luck in finding what I want on vrbo for a January long weekend trip to Breck. Any other site recommendations besides vrbo to find a 1-2 bedroom condo, hotel room, studio, house, etc...?
Maybe in the long run I'll book through VRBO, but want to make sure I'm doing my due diligence and checking all sites that are recommended. Thanks!

Google Breckenridge vacation rentals.

Go to one of the companies, boom.

Vrbo and airbnb both charge fees and they are not small for you to book through them.

I don’t have any Breck vacation management companies to recommend.

I was able to find a great deal at Grand Timber Lodge near the Snowflake lift. Has anyone here ever stayed there?

for long-term bookings i use sonder and turnkey, but there is usually less availability/destinations than sites like vrbo and airbnb.

agree that the owner fees on vrbo are insane, and don't appear consistent - i have seen 300 dollar per night rentals come out more expensive than 400 dollar per night rentals (for the same number of nights) after the owner fees are added.

This is due to size in regards to occupancy amounts and cleaning fees. You could rent a huge cheap house with 12 beds that takes 8 hours to clean and sleeps 25 people only rent for $200/ night. Then rent a 1 bedroom loft apt in Miami for $1000/ night that has an $80 cleaning fee because it takes one person 1 hour.

VRBO started out helping the small player rent their one or 2 places. It now has become where everyone lists and finds stuff.

The property management companies with 50 or hundreds of properties have never gone anywhere and can still be used to book directly.

As said, good "any location" vacation rentals and book directly. You can even, gasp, call them and ask them for what property they would recommend to you to fit your budget and needs.
