Traded in Copper Spider Tour for Evnroll ER5

I know that I am a sick man, but hear my reasoning besides spending all of my retirement income....
I gave the Spider 2 rounds and 3 practice sessions, I continue to push the putts with it. The cause could be the flow neck and my stroke, not the putter.
I played today with the ER5 which is heel shafted and my distance control was way better and I made ore that my usual amount for putts.
Some things of note :
The ER5 has plenty of heft to it. it is not a light putter to me, but it is easier to keep on line because of it..
Second is the unique grip, the design really takes my wrist out of the putt which is a bit help.
This is a good looking putter , very stealthy looking and the ball rolls very smoothly off the face without jumping or skipping.
Putting off the fringe is a piece of cake.
I have always thought a lot of Guerin Rife designs and the tech behind them starting with the two ball mallet that rolled the ball great.
Will it stay in the bag for a long period, time will tell, but I am impressed so far with the results.
Here are a pic that includes the headcover and the putter cup that comes with it , pretty cool thing.

I've been eyeballing Evnroll putters for quite some time and if I ever get a quarterly bonus (thanks covid) I'm pulling the trigger on one. I use a mid mallet odyssey now and I'm torn between the ER2, ER1.2, and ER3.
I'm obviously used to the heavier head of the mallet style but I love the way that the ball feels off a blade. I hit a few with a playing partners scotty and it was just butter coming off the face. Those evenroll mid blades are heavier than an odyssey mid mallet though. Have heard nothing but great things about the gravity grip

The Gravity Grip is impressive in design the way it makes you place your hands.

I putt cross handed- would it have an impact on that?

Wise choice...if I ever get sick of my 5R golo, the Evnroll is going in the bag.

It’s definitely the putter not the putter.

Surely this one can be bopped 50 feet, maybe more.

Evenroll gets great reviews.
They are a little pricey, but a lot of the top tier putters can be. If it works for you, it's worth it.

Got to go what’s best for your game man. I went into a putter fitting recently with my heart set on a spider x. I ended up with a stroke lab ten. It just felt better to me. Now I love it.

That's so true Mike. I worked my arse off for years to retire early and while it is a bit expensive if it works for me I'd get one for every day of the week.

I've been looking at the Evnroll putters lately and reading reviews, I'm considering the ER2.2 with the gravity grip, I'll go test it out at a PGA Superstore near me before pulling the trigger. How are you liking it? Had a chance to play or practice with it since you started this post?

I now have 2 rounds with it and I love it.
Very stable feeling. Love to feedback from the putter face.
Love the looks and the aesthetics.
For me, I have always used a Ping Blackout grip which is quite smaller, so it required a small adjustment on my part.
Now I like the fact that it takes my wristy motion out of the motion for the most part.
It's not a cheap putter, but it exudes quality .
