to cap the Supreme Court at 9 Justices

... can have less, but no more than 9. DEMs desire to win at any cost makes this an URGENT necessity.

Said the same thing earlier. Definitely.

Need a super majority in both houses and 3/4 of all state legislatures to pass.

Constitutional amendments are quite difficult.

Would not be easy, but you could use it for political wins with those moderates/undecided types. You'd have to push for it for years, but to not try is to hand the country over to the radicals.

They shawl are. But did you realize that the most recent Amendment to the Constitution was passed in just 1992? I didn't. And who knows what was going on at the time as far as how much about it was in the news, what states and citizens had to do specifically, etc. Hell the grownups were taking care of that shite. I was prob 16 y.o. hanging out at the bayou with a party ball of Bud Light Ice or something.

Anyway, 27th Amendment, involves Congressional pay pr some shite. Go figure. Constitutional Amendment. Congressional pay. C'mon

No need - we already have the Second Amendment to use against would-be tyrants.

So, there has been about one every 15 years (roughly). So, we are long overdue.

What would be more important?

... maybe Term Limits for the Supreme Court at 25 years. That would have put RGB out two years ago. Oh ... and Term Limits for Congress at 12 Years and Senate at 24, combined 24. That would have pelosi in CA and not DC.

My dream constitutional amendment would involve campaign donations:

No one from outside the jurisdiction of the race can contribute. (i.e. if it’s a statewide race, no one from outside that state can contribute; countywide, only residents of that county can give to candidates, etc) Also, only real live registered voters can contribute. No PACs, no corporations, etc.

You want to clean up politics, clean up the money.

It would be easy to do - On Monday Trump should come out and say he is nominating 3 new judges. There would be a move to cap the court so fast your head would spin

The money will always find a way. If you want to clean up politics, reduce the size and scope of the federal government. Nobody tries to buy you or me because we don’t have god-like powers over the amount of money they make and how they run their business.

It was proposed in 1789 and took 202 years to ratify.

I prefer a convention of the states to rework this whole mess.

Yeah, the 27th Amendment was ratified in 1992. Do you know when it was first proposed?

1789.

Took 202 years.

I’ve been screaming this to whoever I talk politics with for months now. It’s chickenshit that someone from New York could influence an election in Arizona.
