Doesn't really matter in this case, does it. Jennings openly and publicly mocked a child. A writer of children's books didn't have enough empathy to understand why a boy would be upset at seeing a picture of his father's severed head being held by one of the most vile women on the planet. It makes no difference if his father actually died or not.
