Mouse in wall

have you tried a mouse snap trap with peanut butter. Seems to work when other things don't

Don't do poison unless you want to smell a rotting carcass in your wall for several days because they're not likely to die out in the open where they are easy to find.

I've never had any problem with snap traps baited with peanut butter and that is my go-to for rodents. I've caught rats, mice and the occasional squirrel that wanders into my storage shed using that method.

Oh, and some snap traps are better than others. I've found the old style ones with the metal bait holder to be much better than the ones with the wide plastic bait holder as far as actually catching mice.

Good luck OP, I had a rat that sounded like a freaking raccoon that would get above our bedroom 1-2 times a week for months. I had over 20 traps set from the attic to outside to my garage. I don’t know how I didn’t catch that fricker sooner, a wife gets pretty pissed when she constantly hears it. Snap traps, poison, sticky traps, etc. and I’m good at catching them too.

It finally jumped from a whole in my garage ceiling drywall onto a sticky trap. I put peanut butter in the middle of the sticky trap and then put them on paths if it’s somewhere my kid or dog may go. Son of gun must Have jumped in the middle of it because he was bigger than a squirrel and nasty as hell looking. Oh yeah, I also had a trap under a tub that I had access behind the drywall to work on the tub plumbing. I mean I had multiple traps within 10-15 ft of it.

Long story short, just be patient with peanut butter. I’ve used cheese and beef jerky and other things but peanut butter always works best.

Get a cat, they are the bomb when it comes to rodent control
