I'm not saying Joe looks fired up all the time, but go watch Trump in one of his teleprompter speeches. They've gone way downhill since his time on the original campaign trail. He just slumps back and forth on each side of the podium, sounding pretty monotone. When he goes off script, he has energy. You could play audio only recordings of Trump speeches in the last year, and it's very easy to tell when he's on prompter.

Maybe you missed where I said that Joe isn't fired up all the time. That's a totally valid criticism. I was simply pointing out that this isn't exactly an area of sharp contrast between the two candidates.
I also noted that when he goes off script, Trump is much livelier.
