Then how did Saban go to bowl games all of his years here?

Eli committed to Ole Miss in 1999, a season in which LSU went 3-8. He signed his LOI in early 2000.

He was already on Ole Miss’ campus by the time the turn around being under CNS.

LSU was trash when Eli came out.

Wrong

LSU had a winning record all 4 of Eli’s ole miss seasons.
LSU was 3-1 in bowl games those 4 years
2 sec titles
1 national title

And Eli contributed to that National Championship.
If Eli had not been quarterbacking Ole Miss, their record would have been so bad it would have lowered our RPI and we, as a two loss team, would not have been selected.

No way any Manning will ever play at LSU. Archie's O.Miss blood runs very very deep. If Cooper had not gotten hurt, Peyton would have been a Reb, too. Even Peyton has admitted that, years later.

There could be a unique situation with Coach O. What kind of relationship did he build with the Manning’s while at Ole Miss, Tennessee, and the Saints?

1 loss in 2003. We would have been in regardless of ole miss record.

Sounded like he was trying to be diplomatic. I would be surprised if he doesn’t wind up at Ole Miss. LSU will be fine either way imo.

LSU had plenty of talent when Saban got here.

Arch Manning has not chance of going to LSU, Archie hates LSU and their fan base and the school in general. If ELI would have went there he would have won a national championship. Don't kid yourself Arch has no possibility of going to LSU.
