Are we experiencing bacon shortages? I did a quick run to Costco and Walmart yesterday and neither had bacon that I could find. Just sold out or is there more going on with our bacon supply? I know the pork processing plant shite down a week or so ago but from what I read that was about 4-5% of the IS pork processing capacity.

Yes. There is a major pork processing plant in South Dakota that had to shutdown because of the number of employees that got the Chinese Flu, over 500 in that one plant.

I just finish smoking what was left of a case of pork bellies. I probably have 15 lbs. of sliced bacon and 20 lbs. of slab bacon.

I saw bacon shortages 6 weeks ago, but since then the stores have always had it, except for Walmart. Costco had plenty of bacon on Friday. But I don't live in LA.

Just paid 4.99/lb for thick bacon from grocery deli. Got 2 lbs.
Did BLTs yesterday and doing them again tonight. Smoking/Grilling on Traeger.
