Who is the King that Kvothe kills?

Also, Denna is the worst character ever

The last book was a struggle. I absolutely hate the Denna character and the pixie porn really dragged on. I’ll be skeptical about the last book if it ever comes out.

I doubt it will. Rothfuss has gone batshit insane.

Isn’t he suffering from such severe TDS that he can barely function right now?

We've been saying that for 10 years now considering when he wrote the first book he had the other two books mapped out and partially written allegedly.

Yes, he has had some issues, the Trump election sent him a bit off the deep end.

Really, the problem I think is his success went WAY to his head and now he is panicking. He's got some serious paralysis by analysis going on.

Being a perfectionist can be crippling for an author

Man, this is one of my favorite series/authors ever (for writing ability, mostly prose) but as I started trying to form an answer for you I just realized I can’t even remember most of the details of the story/characters. SAD

frick YOU PAT

My best advice Mr. BurrowTrump, is to educate yourself on Brandon Sanderson and his absurd writing pace, if you haven’t already. The Cosmere project is insanely large in scope and connectivity, Stormlight Archives is in the process of becoming an all tome
Classic, and Brandon seems to respect and loves his fans instead of shite talking them and telling them to stfu when they get excited.

Well, that's because outside of kvothe himself the story and characters are either completely average (first book) or crap (second book). The Chandrian could have made for super interesting and awesome bad guys, but instead he basically wrote your rehash of the orphan goes to school and is awesome at everything, while dealing with obnoxious nobility/rich kids that has been done a bazillion times.

Though typically those books have far more interesting characters. It's really only his prose that makes Name of the wind a really good book.

And yeah, Sanderson is a good dude, only issue with him he has so many book series going at any given time it still takes him time to finish stuff.

I’ve convinced myself he has a team of ghost writers behind him. It’s hard to believe he keeps the pace he does

I loved The Name of the Wind. Hated the second book though. If he ever does finish the series I just don't see him wrapping it up in a satisfying way.

Yesterday I was about to write a post saying the same thing, but I stopped midway thinking I would get shite on. It's nice knowing I'm not the only one. I had a buddy asking about book recommendations. I said I liked the KC, but then I blanked on describing the book to him. It made me realize I couldn't really tell you specific things that actually occurred in both books. I remember the first book mostly revolved around him being in school making ends meat and going on a flightless dragon search with Denna. The second book involved working for a rich Spanish type dude, hunting some bandits, learning to use a sword, and having lots of fairy sex.

The Denna parts are cringeworthy. The second book really went off the deep end and had parts I really didn't care for like the "Asian" part with the swords and stuff

Me too. Some of the random paragraphs PR wrote just describing random things hit you in a feels in a way that I haven't had reading another book. I hope he can get over his perfectionist attitude and get that last book out.
