Never played the course, how's the course conditions since the renovations?

Also is getting the Nola Card worth it if I'm playing 5 or 6 times in one year?

Enjoy it!

Played it December not long after the reopen and it is in great shape. The changes seem pretty seamless. I really didn’t notice much difference.

Bring some AirPods and bump some puff daddy to avoid the racetrack next door.

Course Review: PLayed it on Sunday, shot 89 from the one ups. windy all day.

As far as price and course goes, Greens were extremely nice, rolled great, fairways were good but it's not worth $100. At most it should be around $80.

I'm not the biggest TPC fan but some of y'all need to see what courses are charging for weekend rates in other areas for tracks that have extremely nice greens and good fairways.

You'll realize $100 is a steal.

I played TPC Saturday. The greens are not the fastest due to the over seed. The course was wet due to the rains, but the fairways always drain well. It is the areas off of the fairways that can be muddy.

$100 feels steep but golf in SE Louisiana is more expensive than other areas in the south. Grand Ridge charges about $54 on the weekends and TPC is much better than that.
The Audubon Course charges $50 on the weekends and it is a par 62 at 4,200 yards long.

The hell?

About the only place that's of the quality/amenities as TPC in the South that is cheaper are the RTJ courses and they want $79-89.

Why golf will always suck in Louisiana. People just don't want to pay for it. For some reason they still expect Primo conditions though.

I have played the ones in Birmingham and Point Clear. I believe all were over $100 nowadays.

What would you think of the NOLA Card option? And do you know if the NOLA card option's $59/round rate includes a cart or do you still owe another ~$20 for a cart at that rate?

Cambrian Ridge on the Trent Jones Trail is much prettier to me than TPC Avondale. It is probably similarly priced as TPC, maybe a little cheaper for locals.

Where golf seems more expensive in this area is the lesser courses.
Grand National in Luling is $54 on the weekend.
Cypress Lake in Destrehan is $60 Friday to Sunday.
Lakewood is about $70 on the weekend.

Similar course in Mississippi or Alabama are less.

If you are going to pay $60 for Cypress Lake, then get a Nola Card and play TPC for $59 per round.

The cost for a round at TPC with the NOLA card (with cart and tax) is $64.43.

Grand Ridge in Luling has tee times on Golf Now on the weekend for $33-$50.

I’m willing to pay $100 but the course has gotta be mint. If it’s wet, they need to bump the rates down, that’s all I’m saying. There’s courses in Arizona and California that are $60/round, that are far better than TPC la. Hell I pay $40 at Pelican Point and it’s better IMO

What courses?

I played a meh course in Scottsdale during the off-season and it was still $100 twilight.

Grayhawk is $230+ for weekend tee times.

Lolz at Arizona being affordable right now. I live here an you’ll be paying 100 bucks for courses that are equivalent to Webb and they too don’t have driving ranges.

Sure you can play troon north and Quintero for 60 bucks, when it’s 110 outside.

Right now it’ll cost you 300-350

These are kind of unreasonable expectations imo. Sure you might find a couple hidden gems throughout those areas, but generally what you said is wrong. If Louisiana courses bumped down rates every time it was wet, they'd all be closed

All of the ones (not subsidized) charging under $60 are on the verge.
