Would like to read more historical fiction.
Sci fi, philosophy, and how to flirt with women

This board is a great resource for me - tons of sci-fi and fantasy fans. You could probably change your title and get a solid list of recommendations
See this thread for a lot of good recommendations and discussion (pretty spoiler free, but most posts with spoilers are clearly marked).

Also this one for non-fiction:

This board works for me.
My favorite book is “Young Men and Fire” by Norman McClean.

One, I go to the Barnes and Noble website and scroll through upcoming books. Secondly, I get a lot of good recommendations on Goodreads.

Tigerdroppings has given me more book recommendations than any other source in the past 10 years.
Anything by Steven Pressfield, especially Gates of Fire.

Goodreads and Youtubers have been my best resource. I've also added several books because of threads here on TD.

I read Harper's, New Yorker, NYRB and The Economist---all will feature reviews or ads for books.
