Thug Shoots Robbery Victim - Bullet Ricochets Off Victim's Skull and Kills 2nd Thug
In Greg Ellfritz' blog today Link he referenced this incident from several years ago. I missed (no pun intended) seeing it back then:
(From Time Magazine): Police say 16-year-old Clifton Chatman’s death is the result of a botched Dec. 14 robbery near a public housing complex in San Francisco’s Bernal Heights neighborhood. In the attempted mugging, the teen and three accomplices ambushed a man and demanded his cell phone and other belongings.
The victim complied and the robbers began to rummage through the loot, but one of them pulled out a handgun and fired at the man. But then the round struck the man’s face, ricocheted and struck Chapman, killing him on the spot.
The other suspects fled the scene and when police arrived, the found the robbery victim, and Chatman, who was identified later.
Last week, police arrested a 16-year-old suspect in connection with the robbery, but they did not say whether or not he was the shooter, the San Francisco Chronicle reported. The robbery victim was hospitalized and survived his injuries, police said.

In the blog linked above Ellifritz gives some advice on how to avoid this - might come in handy the next time you decide to rob and shoot somebody.

Reminds me of a tomcat I plugged in the forehead with a cb cap from about 10 feet. Flopped about 3 times then took off. Saw him about a week later and you could see skull from between his eyes to between his ears. A long rifle to the ear hole finish the job

So you shot a cat in the head, watched it writhe in pain and shock, then watched it run away, then finally after it lived for days with a massive, exposed-skull headwound finished it off?
That's so awesome bro.

That's not what he said. He said it flopped a couple times then took off.

I never saw where he said he watched it walk around with an open wound and waited a couple days to finish it off.
Cat's are the most dangerous non-human animal on the planet. They kill billions of birds and small mammals per year, and only eat a small amount of them (most estimates are 30-40%). This is not specific to wild cats. It pertains to all cats that go outside. Fluffy white ones and raggedy spotted ones, they all hunt shite outside and kill it. On islands, they wipe out native species with a quickness. I'm not advocating shooting all of the crazy cat lady's cats, or shooting any cats specifically, but they are terrible animals and one with an open wound on it's head bothers me 0.01%.
That 0.1% is only because I don't want that sumbitch bleeding on my lawn.
