I always thought this was ambiguous. I couldn't get my head around certain high crimes and misdemeanors. I think this is the poorest language from our founders and that fact is coming to fruition now as they are trying to throw the book at Trump and everything is Certain High Crimes and Misdemeanors.

I've heard the talking heads say the House has great latitude in defining HC&M. That's what we are seeing now. It's pretty obvious to me that the so called Deep State and more particularly the Intelligence Community and the House Dems had a plan to entrap Trump specifically with regard to the Ukraine episode. Their game plan so to speak took time and was choreographed. In essence it was a sting job and it worked. And it was just the new wrinkle after all that other stuff such as Russia and emoluments, etc. It remains to be seen if they can get him removed. I think republican politicians are dumb shites and could never pull this kind of thing off much less plan the action. It shows the degree to which democrats will conduct political warfare. They've just seen too many changes from the Obama utopia to risk seeing any more of it. That IG report on Monday and next week better turn up something.

As a side note, I've donated money to a number of candidates over the past two years. And now that I see Republicans as feckless to stand up to this stuff, I resent the barrage of the dozen or more fundraising texts I get every damn day for the hodge podge of republican candidate running across this country.
