Sad to say it, love what TX was before..

Invasion from Blue State
Illegal migrant invasion
Beto types
Austin, San Antonio, and Houston politics going to poo

LA just has weak GOP leadership and put up piss poor candidates for Gov. All other state wide offices red.

Not saying LA will every be governed without the trial lawyers running things into the ground and stealing the people blind, just sad for what TX is becoming

TX elected a GOP governor by > 20 percentage points.

Louisiana just elected a democrat governor... again.

Your premise is on pretty shaky ground.

I don't entirely disagree, but if the GOP were smart, they could win over the Latino vote. Latino's share many conservative family values. And, most have a great work ethic and will not enjoy seeing their earnings taxed away (more of a factor as their children become citizens and they are legalized).

Long story short, you could see many areas turn back red if the GOP can find itself led by a true inspirational conservative. I admit that's a big "if", but it could happen.

I don't know if it will or not! However, you forgot one cause if it does! Legal immigration will probably be the number one factor.

I work on a corporate campus in DFW with approximately 12,000 employees. Mostly Indian food is served in the cafeteria to please the inhabitants.

I think legal immigration is currently underrated as a problem for this country.

You know you should then just stick your head in the sand and give up. At some time in the distant future the democrats will split to form two entirely different political parties. Until then they will rule with an iron fist. Conservatives will slowly die out or go to jail. Sorry

I too work on a corporate Campus in DFW where Indian food is served daily as part of the choices in the cafeteria. That said, 90% of them can't vote, because they are here on VISAs which make them not eligible to vote. For now....

This could take decades. As of now, they have figured out how to work the system by claiming residency in their home country and receiving most of their tax withholdings at the end of the year. Plus their wife with American born children claim single mother and receive food stamps and health care.

You're probably right. And the GOPe types are too short-sighted to mount such an effort anyway. Unfortunately, I don't see what else we can hope for.
