Where does the MB stand on this record?
I tend to find it more listenable that pretty much anything else in the NIN catalog. Critics found it to be average, but when I'm in the mood for NIN I tend to go here before other albums quite a bit.

Its the album that made me stop listening to NIN. Really bad overall.

I didnt like it. I stopped anticipating albums from trent after that.

most of my long time friends who loved NIN as much as me fell off after that album.
I love it, to this day (Sunspots is vastly underrated, and the end of the album is strong as F)
It's Trent's "I got Sober" album. It's really raw and a departure from his earlier stuff. I think it was a necessary step in his evolution, bc right after he put out Year Zero, which is an all-time great.

I liked it. I mean it's not their best but still good. I've enjoyed all of NIN's releases.

I'm probably the opposite of most big NIN fans. I wasn't really an NIN fan at all until this album came out. I was starting to get into heavier stuff at the time but NIN always seemed too dark / disturbing to me (THAT video...). I listened to "The Hand That Feeds" and really enjoyed it. Gave the whole album a listen and liked it a lot. It was one of my favorites of 2005. After a while, I figured I should give their other stuff a shot and started listening to The Fragile and it took a couple listens, but it soon became one of my favorite albums. Later down the road I grew to love TDS and it wasn't until about the last 5 years that I grew to love PHM.
With Teeth may be my least favorite at this point from all NIN's albums up until that point, but I still like it.

First half is meh
Second half (“with teeth” thru “right where it belongs”) is fantastic.
As mentioned “sunspots” is a great track, as is “the line begins to blur”
“Beside you in time” is the best track on the album.

I love it. Was one of the very best albums of the year it came out. The only song I don't really care for that much is 'With Teeth' itself.
