Not to take away from him because his schemes and blitzes are elite but has his success been mostly with new qbs? Just looks like his style of defense is perfect for qbs with little experience. Last year Drew lock and Fromm lit him up... Even at Miss state it looks the same...if a qb had a year behind him they did well.

I think it's all going to depend on our oline just giving him time

For sure that will be the emphasis since last year its what was our downfall...Plus they get their best pass rusher back. Will need to get the run game going... honestly not sure how much we will see the younger backs because we might need clyde out there to block

from what I’ve seen, he’s very aggressive, and smart QBs that can quickly go through progressions and hit checkdowns are able to beat them. quick throws are key

This is the biggest key of the entire game...if we give Burrow time we will win...if Burrow doesnt have time it will be a long night

I think you're going to see us go ball control like we did against Utah State

Keep our defense fresh in the event we get into a more defensive battle and limit their opportunities

I sure hope not. We do not want a fresh florida defense in the 4th quarter. Air them out. Run as many plays as humanely possible.

Play to our strengths. This is our strength.

Looking at our schedule, the only game where we should even entertain the idea of ball control is Alabama. But even then idk if that's the right approach.

Agreed. FL hasnt played an uptempo team like LSU yet and their 4th quarters stats are ridiculous. Then again they were doing this against first year starting qbs

Good thing Joe-Joe are well versed in these options.

A few WR/RB screens early on will force more edge discipline.
A few downfield completions and scores will open up the draw/running game.
The strong RPO/slant game keeps the sticks moving with opportunities for runs after the catch.

I've been really impressed with the LSU offensive game plans so far this year. But the real secret to the HIGH-powered offense is that JB has been putting the ball perfectly in front of the receivers for them to catch it in stride and make a big play after the catch.

I don't think UF will be able to shake JB enough to get him out of his game. Should be fun to watch the Burrow legend continue to grow.
