14 carries, -3 yards. Yikes.

I agree, his Oline is terrible. When he get the ball 3 defenders jump on his back. He’ll get traded in a year or two and will be an all star. He outgained Henry 66-44 last night.

I think if you want to invest in a RB early in the draft you need to build the infrastructure for a run game first.
Dallas had already built most of that line and had Murray lead the NFL in rushing in 2014 and DMac have a 1000 yard season in 2015 before they took Zeke who was the missing piece.
You can't build around a RB you can only build up to a RB.

If you look at Guice's 3-year stats at LSU you could make a good argument that, if not for playing behind Fournette in 15/16, and getting almost 300 less carries in those two years, Guice is or could have been the best LSU back of all time.

I noticed when he got just a little blocking he almost took it to the house, ??

We have idiots judging a RB who gets hit before he can even secure the handoff. Other idiots comparing run blocking to pass blocking. If you can't see Fournette's talent then you don't know what to look for.

Fournette has a ton of talent. He just doesn't do much of anything with it.

The NFL is full of backs that are big and fast. Fournette is basically Latavius Murray. Big and fast. His vision is just nonexistent. You can say all you want about bad offensive line play, outside of 4-5 teams that plagues the entire league. Saquon Barkley has been dominant in an equally bad situation in New York. Lesean Mccoy was a good back in buffalo. Kenyan Drake averages 4.7/carry and has spent his entire career in Miami. When a kid develops early like Fournette did they often fail to cultivate the skills they'll need when everyone else catches up. If you're always the biggest and fastest dude on the field then those are the tools you use. You don't develop vision because you don't need it. You don't develop patience because you don't need it. Then one day you do. On paper he is the perfect running back- but there were signs of his impending struggles dating back to college. The 3 years of bama tape should have been a red flag to every scout- he just could not cut it against equal or better competition.
The skills he does have, power and speed, will always lead to a few homeruns per season. That's what makes his career YPC even more alarming. The guy has multiple 70+ yard runs and is still averaging below 4.0 ypc in his career. I understood the hesitation to admit his shortcomings in his first two years, he'd been propped up on this site as the second coming of Jim Brown since he was 15 years old..but to those still denying his alarming mediocrity at this point in his career- you just lack the ability to view anything not tinted from purple and gold glasses

I don't watch any Jacksonville games but that's the only games my brother gets in his area and he seems to think Fournette's overweight.

He ended doing good for my fantasy team, when a team has a shite QB and a horrible O-line, it's gonna be tough for any RB.
Posted on 9/20/19 at 7:53 pm to Tigerfan56
He is an above average rb which makes him good. There arent many RBs in the league that can handle that work load and has a shitty online and rotating QBs

Guess you never saw the talent of mr. sanders
Posted on 9/20/19 at 8:28 pm to joeleblanc
Sanders was a once in a lifetime talent, not fair to compare he and LF.

Their Oline does blow, but the guy has been basically the only offense for his teams for 15 years. You know in middle school and high school he got basically all the touches. In college Miles ran the tires off the dude.
