So many binary posts about Shapiro. I’ve listened to his podcast daily for a few years now. IMO, he is wrong in his approach to foreign policy - he’s way too hawkish for my tastes. He also gets way too worked up over some of Trump’s tweets sometimes instead of just laughing them off as master trollery. But Shapiro is spot on in his social and cultural commentary. He may be the biggest anti-abortion advocate in the mainstream. He gets way too much sh*t here.
This is me to a t. I think he was a douche for being a never trumoer to start with but he's since changed in that.

Roast me, but I like Shapiro. I don't always agree with him, but he is very bright, I like hearing him debate people, and he calls it like he sees it which I can respect.

i think everybody is over endless wars and the attitudes that get us there. one of the marks of neocons is the John McCain attitude of "i never met a war i didn't like and want Americans to pay for." Defending Israel (which i fully support) tends to start making arguments towards sending more troops to the region.

I'm a pretty frequent listener to his podcast though I don't always agree with his establishment hot takes.
I'm about 15 minutes into today's episode and he's using flashbacks to 9/11 to make the case that we've all forgotten the feelings of 9/11 which is why so many on the left and right are trending towards isolationism. If we create a power vacuum, radical terrorists will fill that vacuum and do another 9/11.
He hasn't gotten to it yet but I have no doubt he's laying the building blocks to transition into ripping Trump for Bolton's departure.
