So I like lifting with DBs more than barbell. But how do I figure out a % to lift when everything is based off barbell.

In the blueprint, he says that 1xbodyweight is decent, 1.1xbodyweight is good, etc.

I think I messed up jumping right into warrior, even though I've been in and out of the gym since january. I cant do weighted chin ups.

Is there a ratio on DB weigh vs barbell?

I wouldn’t worry about using his strength metrics yet tbh because it doesn’t sound like you’re there yet. If you’re worried about lifting heavy barbell weights by yourself maybe try using a lighter weight just to see how many you can get, even if it’s 10 or 12. You can use this chart to convert it to a 5RM

Try doing lat pull downs with a reverse grip like chins. Keep increasing weight every week when you can. Once you can do a good set of maybe 8 with more than your bodyweight then switch to chin ups. If you can get 8 chins you can probably get 5 with 15 lbs added. Start adding weight from there.

Don't worry about ratios or strength standards, those are things to work towards. Just pick a DB weight that has you coming close to failure in the rep range listed and add reps or weight over time using the rpt guide.

For weighted chins, just do bodyweight chins. Do ladders daily as I explained in the ladder thread

What's the difference between the phase workouts in the blueprint and the workout in the warrior shredding?

I get that the blueprint leads into the warrior or Greek god programs, but it looks similar. At least to warrior.

I've doubled back and have been doing the basic workout program. I'll give it a shot until I can get my chinups to par without assistance. I'm using weight that causes me to fail a rep or two before the max number of reps and will increase when I can hit the max reps on all 3 sets. Weight stays the same during the base, correct?
