Should high profile suicide watch prisoners have their cameras online/live?

So two guards "fell asleep".

I'm thinking if the cameras they should be watching are streamed live on the web, there would be thousands of people at any given time watching it.

Stick an alert button on there and viola, suicide watch around the clock with the proper attention it needs.

(yes I know there's technical and social engineering issues, but those are solvable)

Your idea has some merit. Really.

But while we are at it, oughta put this button on every airplane seat:
Depressurize Cabin [YES] [NO]

I superseded your concern with my social engineering warning.

pretty sure they already are doing this - that's the point...why no video?

There's already an infrastructure for it... Amazon's Mechanical Turk. (LINK /)

I've also advocated for a similar solution to border crossings... line the border with paintball towers every 200 yards and make a live-play online arcade out of it.

Fortnite popularity would be halved.

Suicide of prisoners? A win. Let them kill themselves and save the taxpayers money.

This I can get behind.

Give us your tired, your poor.. but make sure they are nimble and quick. We don't let no paint-covered slow motherfrickers in here.

I imagine there will be some changes in regards to how high profile inmates are monitored.

But I’m not sure a public web cast is the answer.

Before trial, I don't think it's a good idea. But, there should be more guards and checks & balances on duty.

After trial, I do not see a problem with it. Can also make it a subscription basis.

But, wouldn't this be irrelevant in the Epstein situation? Wasn't he taken off of suicide watch a few days before this happened?

The hell with paintball. Let the boys break out their AR's.

Of course after the first day they would have zero targets.

not necessarily... under the current methodology, suicide watches are manpower-intensive, so there is an underlying pressure to remove them from that status "quickly". So under the OP's idea, you can have one dude napping while insomniacs mind the store.

So probably lots more folks on suicide watch.
