Throw in an extra day if you could, but Sedona Arizona was great in April when we went. Not sure about snow, but place was beautiful. Need that Thursday though for the flight.

Fredericksburg doesn’t belong anywhere near the rest of those cities, which are all great. It’s like calling Gatlinburg romantic. It’s like being in a carnival cruise, with wine.

What time are your parents picking you up from summer school today?

Fredericksburg is a grotesque tourist trap of the highest order. Unless you think shitty "german" food, potpourri shops (literally), and fat slobs in Crocs waddling everywhere is a romantic get away. Sorry my standards for vacation are higher than that.

Great, there's wine. Literally nothing else. Bad food, no music, stores selling fake flowers, etc. Well there is the cool Pacific War museum but naturally it's relatively unvisited.

Early March or late?

Are you planning on leaving Thursday afternoon? Friday to Sunday sucks otherwise I'd look hard for a direct flight or limit your options otherwise. Where are you flying out of? If you have a connection you are basically getting in around noon and leaving by noon Sunday, so you only have 2 whole days.

Chicago maybe but will likely be cold in March.

You did it wrong. Fredericksburg is perfect for a weekend getaway with the lady.

How much you want to spend? Any travel / airport interests or limitations (i.e. where you start from or?).

Well..

High End:

Blackberry Farm in TN. Doesn't get anymore romantic than that.

Ventana Inn in CA. Big Sur. Wow. Tour Carmel-by-the-Sea. A charming little village in the Monterey Peninsula.

Key West.

Hmmm. This is part of world of Hyatt, 30k points/night. Really good value for room $1350/night

You did say anywhere and you didn't provide any budget.

So..
Bay area isn't that cheap. But Monterrey and Carmel-By-The-Sea are gorgeous however. About 2hrs once you leave SFO.

We stayed at the Seven Gables Inn. Really romantic.

You could drive down to Carmel-By-The Sea. Link. Many Inns and Airbnb's, so look there.

We didn't stay there but the drive from Monterrey and seeing Pebble Beach is spectacular, as is the aforementioned Big Sur. Go to lunch at Ventana Inn then.
