Best protector / sealer for wood fishing pier ?

with treated wood in damp environments, leaving it natural will make it last the longest.

any sealers or coatings will just trap moisture in and will start to rot much sooner

build it out of black locust but to late for that linseed oil the hell out of it not many finishes will work because the wood moves a lot and the fish won't and it will just pop off so you need a penetrating finish not many things will work very well

If you used untreated pine, use a Cop-R-Tox preservative.

want something that last longer than a few yrs - less times I have to redue deck the better

Fairly expensive, but lasts for several years and beautiful colors. Protects from graying.

Yes, I have a 20 year old pier, had it pressure washed and then put Sherwiwn Williams,water base stain sealer then Sherwin Willilliams deck coat on the flat walkway.

Great products that clean up easy, the deck coat gets hard in three days and has a great
Feel walking on it barefooted, covers cracks nail head Ect.

Highly Reccomend!
